Forgotten Review

Forgotten
Cat Patrick
Published by Egmont

Synopsis

"Each night when 16 year-old London Lane goes to sleep, her whole world disappears. In the morning, all that's left is a note telling her about a day she can't remember. The whole scenario doesn't exactly make high school or dating that hot guy whose name she can't seem to recall any easier. But when London starts experiencing disturbing visions she can't make sense of, she realizes it's time to learn a little more about the past she keeps forgetting-before it destroys her future.

Part psychological drama, part romance, and part mystery, this thought-provoking novel will inspire readers to consider the what-if's in their own lives and recognize the power they have to control their destinies." Goodreads

Amy's Adumbrations

I really enjoyed Forgotten. It's such an original book, and I enjoyed reading the notes that London made to herself. It really is Memento meets the time travellers wife. The novel is fast paced and you don't get bored of what could be quite mundane such as choosing an outfit, as it's done in such a way.

What I really enjoyed was London as she made me laugh a few times. She is such a sweet and funny character. I wasn't totally sold on the romance as I wasn't really feeling Lucas in all honesty, but I will forgive this as the book is otherwise impeccable. I also wasn't particularly impressed with the end as I felt it was a little bit rushed. However, it was all brought together in a realistic way.

If you want something a bit different and a little thrilling then this is the book for you. London takes you on a quest to find the truth, and you enjoy every page of it.

I can't wait to read more from Cat Patrick.
